Wanderer’s Wonder: Alucard [ENG]

Greetings to all our readers who follow us assiduously and to newcomers who have just immersed themselves in the world of Force of Will!

Today, as announced at the beginning of the week, we propose a Wanderer list to detach a little from the competitive scene and to relax with their playmates with the decks with which maybe you started playing and know the game years ago. Today’s deck fully reflects this dynamic and brings us back to one of the Rulers who made the story of Force of Will: Alucard // Dracula.

Since the release of the Grimm Cluster many Vampires were released that, for this occasion, we are going to exploit to create a thematic deck focused on them:

Obviously the deck could only have a Black base, the colour that almost all of the Vampires share. Our Ruler does not need many presentations: Dracula presents excellent statistics and will allow us to make the most of them by eliminating and then taking control of the most problematic Resonators of our opponent.

Moving on the main deck we notice how it is heavily focused on Resonators. Despite the absence of cards that can make us fish, thanks to cards like Lora, Aria and Grimm Black-Pitch Vampire, our hand will never be empty thanks to the research skills of Lora and the recursion brought by the other two. The other Vampires present in the deck then perform various utility functions, going from protection (Servant) passing then to the enhancement of our pieces (Alucard’s Resonator version). This concept of utility is best exemplified with cards such as Mikage Sisters and Faithful Vampire where by resting, in the first case, or to paying a certain number of will in the case of the latter; we’re going to produce the desired effect at the right time.

The Chants that accompany the deck are spells that will allow us to keep filtered the hand of our opponent allowing us to build a board that can put it under pressure in addition to cards such as Stoning to Death and Final Battle that, along with Carmilla, will allow to apply direct removals on the pieces of our opponent speeding a possible Judgment of Dracula.

As for the Side we find two other Vampire Rulers who made the story of Force of Will: Miakge and Vlad Tepes. The first one will be played in case we find ourselves against decks based on the Resonators, thus exploiting the active ability on the Ruler side to keep his pieces at bay; while Vlad will be inserted against more control decks, where with the lengthening of the turns will also increase the gap in life between us and our opponent.

The remaining side cards will be used to cover some flaws against certain types of decks: Carmilla, for example, could come together with Miakge to manage decks based on low-cost Resonators; Impulse against decks focused on direct damage to give us more breath thanks to the life points earned as well as doing removal; Coffin both to protect our Resonators and to block those opponents; a fourth Servant in case he feels the need and to end Night Eternal to go to deal with annoying Resonators.

That said, the analysis is over. We hope you enjoyed the theme of the deck and that, if you want to build it to try again the sensations you breathed during the Grimm Block, you can have fun!

We therefore give you an appointment for next week, do not miss it!

1,2,3 … Force of Will!
